About the event

HazMatIQ Air Monitoring Training covers the detection and monitoring equipment required for All-Hazards Response.  The foundation of this training is focused on the equipment needed to keep responders safe from all-hazards:  Radiations, F/PH/KI paper, Temperature Gun, CGI, O2, PID, FID, Draeger Tubes/Chips, and Dust Meters. Additionally,  this course covers the basics of chemical identification equipment (FTIR/Raman and GCMS) By customizing each  course to match the equipment and meters used by the host department, students will gain an understanding of the  uses and limitations of each tool in their toolbox, as well as experience operating each instrument  AIR  MONITORING TRAINING IN-PERSON TRAINING in a simulated response tabletop, collecting and running real-life  samples. Through the instruction of these key instruments included in  the HazMatIQ System, students will learn to detect hazards and make  appropriate decisions based on Red Light/ Green Light meter readings.
