About the event
HazMatIQ Air Monitoring Training covers the detection and monitoring equipment required for All-Hazards Response. The foundation of this training is focused on the equipment needed to keep responders safe from all-hazards: Radiations, F/PH/KI paper, Temperature Gun, CGI, O2, PID, FID, Draeger Tubes/Chips, and Dust Meters. Additionally, this course covers the basics of chemical identification equipment (FTIR/Raman and GCMS) By customizing each course to match the equipment and meters used by the host department, students will gain an understanding of the uses and limitations of each tool in their toolbox, as well as experience operating each instrument AIR MONITORING TRAINING IN-PERSON TRAINING in a simulated response tabletop, collecting and running real-life samples. Through the instruction of these key instruments included in the HazMatIQ System, students will learn to detect hazards and make appropriate decisions based on Red Light/ Green Light meter readings.
