About the event

A small home built in the 1920’s, or a mansion built in the last five years each are classified in NFIRS as a “419”. Unfortunately, there are a number of significant differences between legacy construction, mobile or manufactured housing, and new construction mansions. This class prepares the fire officer and firefighters to approach non-typical residential structure fires, fully utilizing available resources in a safe and effective manner. The goal of this class is to heighten the awareness of the differences in many single-family dwellings, and identify the potential need for operational changes.
