Think Fast! Tactics for the Officer Seat

Overview: Today’s fire service presents many unique challenges for the fire service officer. With homes and businesses being constructed with light weight trusses and/or engineered lumber, the strategy and tactics utilized while fighting fires in these type buildings can prove to be challenging and inherently dangerous. The strategical and tactical approaches used in years past must be revisited. As less experienced officers are promoted and the overall number of structure fires declining, this proves to be a two-edgedsword.
