OVERVIEW Discover the essentials of lithium-ion battery safety with BatteryIQ, offering students a streamlined system to comprehend, identify, respond to, and mitigate incidents involving lithium-ion batteries. This course spans a range of incidents, from cellphones and electric scooters/bikes, to electric vehicle fires and energy storage system failures.
Participants will receive comprehensive Battery Response Guides, empowering them to swiftly, effectively, and efficiently categorize various battery-related emergencies based on battery type and failure stage. These guides categorize incidents to guide students in assessing potential hazards, determining appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), selecting recommended equipment, and mastering correct emergency operation tactics upon arriving at the scene of a LiION battery emergency.
