This 4 hour class is designed to give all firefighters the tools they need to recognize all the types of building construction and how fire behavior affects each type. There is also an in-depth look at the dangers of lightweight components and new building materials.
Emphasis is also place on fireground communications and proper size-up of conditions. If the fire is our enemy then the battleground in which we fight the fire is the structure. EVERYTHING we do on the fireground relates to building construction.
Instructor Tom Tulipano -A 33 year veteran of the Fire Service in the Chicago Metro area and has over 40 years in the construction industry as a carpenter and general contractor. Tom will be provided this program to us for FREE and willl be presented in April of 2023 at FDIC
