Roles and Responsibilities of an Engineer
This class is geared towards the brand-new engineer all the way up to the most experienced. This class will cover topics and points for the engineer in short staffing environments. This class will cover the top 12 points to a great engineer all the way to advanced pump ops and stressful scenarios created during fireground operations. Advanced scene size-up scenarios and having a plan for that unexpected issue. The role of the engineer is often misunderstood and most think the most important role is calculating pump pressures. After completing this course, you will have a true understanding of the importance of your role as an engineer, not only on the fireground but at all types of incidents. This class will contain about 1.5-2 hours of classroom and then 2 hours of hands-on scenarios. Helmets and gloves are a minimum for attending this course.
