About the event

This course teaches personnel how to safely conduct basic rope rescue operations. This course focuses on the various knots, rescue hardware, auxiliary equipment, personal protection equipment, rope care and maintenance and standards governing basic rope rescue operations. This course meets or exceeds the general requirements for NFPA 1006 and 1670 Standard on Operations and Training for Technical Rescue Incidents, Awareness and Operations Level for Rope Rescue.

09/08/22 Chapters 10, 13-14 (AM Classroom / PM Field) Rigging, Rappelling, Belaying, Ascending and Pick Offs

09/09/22 CH 12, 15-16 (AM Classroom / PM Field) Litter use, Rigging and Low Angle)

Part IV

09/14/22 Chapter 17-18 (AM Classroom / PM Field) High Angle Lower / Hauling

09/15/22 Low / High Angle Lower / Hauling (AM/PM Field)
